Britain’s leading general insurer engaged SR-STAR consulting to develop IT strategy with a focus on Gartner's 'Nexus of forces' namely Cloud, Data, Mobile and IOT. The insurer had over £3 Bn gross premium and was looking to transform their estate following a 'Green field' approach. Our consultant worked in functional areas where there was high return on investment, actuarial rating & predictive pricing developing a strategy to adopt a market leading pricing engine that used a real-time price optimisation engine. Led solution designs to integrate core Policy system to Web, CRM, Customer master and Warehousing.
Developed IT roadmap for the insurance business as it was carved-out from a leading high street retail and investment bank. Our consultant developed an integration strategy aligned with the enterprise architecture principles and develop a framework to integrate with the new insurance suite and number of technical platforms like the information hub (i.e. ESB/ETL using MuleSoft SOA Suite, Informatica PowerCenter and IBM DataPower), CRM, Data analytics, pricing and campaign management. In this engagement we compared offerings from AWS / Microsoft Azure and Mule Cloud Hub and selected the various products to implement the information fabric.
